Full course description

The TP 101 America – Basic Level is suitable for basic training in the field of pneumatics. It covers the fundamentals of pneumatics, which includes the identification and operation of basic pneumatic components such as valves, flow controls and actuators. The force, pressure, area, and volume relationships of compressed air are also covered.

This course is divided into four units:

  • Introduction to Pneumatics introduces students to the training system, pneumatics concepts, and air conditioning and distributing equipment.
  • Basic Physical Concepts introduces the basic physical concepts: pressure vs. force, volume and flow relationships, as well as vacuum generation.
  • Basic Controls of Cylinders introduces the basic controls of cylinders: directional and speed using directional control valves, as well as flow control valves. Indirect control using pilot operated valves is also introduced.
  • Basic Controls of Pneumatic Motors introduces the basic controls of pneumatic motors and motor performance.
